Why does the service cost £1 per minute?
We felt that this was a fair charge, rather than asking users to pay a yearly subscription. In charging per minute is allows you to use the service as much or as little as you like, so you are not paying for something you may not use on a regular basis.

How long will it take to record a message?
We expect your message to take no more that 2 or 3 minutes to record, but that depends on how much information you want to provide! We suggest that you view our Listening to Messages page and write down your answers before making the call.

How long will it take to listen to the messages?
That depends on how many messages there are for your chosen area and how many you listen to. You are able to skip through messages that initially do not sound right for you, so this will cut the time down.

What will appear on my telephone bill?
There will be a call cost for the service listed on your itemised phone bill, in the same way as other calls are listed. It will be listed as Century Telecom.

Who do I contact if there is a billing problem?
You need to contact your telephone service provider, as you would for any billing queries.

How can I remove my details once they have been recorded?
You will be given the option of removing your details whilst recording them.

How can I skip messages?
You will be guided through the messages by a recorded voice and given the information on how to skip through calls.

How can I change my message?
You will be given the option of changing your message at the time of recording it. We suggest that you plan and write down your answers before making a call. We have listed the questions asked and provided guidance on what answers to give on our Listening to Messages page.

How safe is the service?
The service itself for listening to and recording is very safe and we frequently monitor the content of the messages recorded to ensure this. We have provided some helpful tips for when you meet your Riding Buddies for the first time on our Safety Guidelines pages.

Is this a scam?
No, not at all, this is a genuine service for horse riders to meet and hack out with other horse riders. We have our charges for the service clearly displayed on our website and are under strict regulatory guidelines in respect of this.

Why should I join the service?
By becoming a member of Riding Buddies, you can contact other horse riders within your region that have similar interests or abilities to you. You can then arrange to go out exploring new bridleways and places to ride or even just share your own local routes together.
